The Right Contacts for Astigmatism

If you’re like me (and I know I am), you went to the eye doctor, got an exam and found out that you have astigmatism. Don’t worry about it. It just means that you need corrective lenses. You can either get glasses or contact lenses and either one (or both) will help your eyes so they’re not strained so much.

You might have noticed your eyes strained if you work on a computer all day. That’s what prompted me to go for an eye exam and the same with my brother. He also found out he has astigmatism and is going to get glasses to help him. So if you’re reading this and feel like your eyes get tired too quickly, they may be working too hard and could use some relief and vision correction. So go get an eye exam. You may or may not have astigmatism but may be nearsighted or farsighted, and glasses or contacts can also help you.

For me, I went with contact lenses. I don’t like glasses too much because they get in the way, I feel like my face can’t “breathe” (if that makes any sense), glasses get dirty too often and they also fog up when you come in from the cold. How annoying! So the right contact lenses if you have astigmatism would be toric lenses. They have small weights in them so that they line up correctly in your eyes, giving you the right magnification where you need it. They fix your vision.
