The Dog collar for the Avid Hunter

A hunting dog learns how to go after whatever animal its master has chosen to hunt. If its master happens to point a gun at a flying pheasant, then a hunter’s dog goes after that pheasant. If the wearer of a dog collar sees its master pointing a gun at a bear, then the typical hunting dog would be expected to head for that ferocious bear.

The owner of a hunting dog can insure that dog’s safety by buying the proper sort of collar. If a dog owner feels that his or her pet might well go after a bear, then that pet owner should get a spiked dog collar. Other than its paws, the hunting dog has no natural protection. Armed with a spiked collar, the same animal does enjoy a certain level of protection.

A growing number of hunters have chosen to buy a camo dog collar for their four legged hunting companion. The term “camo collar” stands for camouflage collar. During the making of a camo collar, camouflage materials have been wrapped around nylon webbing. That webbing that has of course been bent, in order to form a round collar. Whenever a dog wears a camo collar, it can more easily sneak up on its chosen victim.
Some dog owners have found that they can use a collar to display their hunting skills. They get the leather was made from skin acquired during an earlier hunting trip. They then use that leather to make a leather dog collar. If both hunter and dog tracked the killed animal together, then that collar becomes an even more appropriate addition to the dog’s “hunting equipment.”

Actually, the hunting dog does not need any sort of “equipment.” Nature has made sure that any hunting dog is “well equipped.” The wise hunter takes full advantage of that equipment. The prepared hunter carries a dog whistle along with him or her on any hunt.

Yet a thinking hunter does not go hunting with a pet that is wearing a noisy dog collar, such as a collar has a bell attached to it. The ringing of that bell is sure to scare away any bird or mammal. Then both hunter and dog would have nothing to hunt down. The hunter would then be minus at least one meat-filled meal. The hunter, but not the dog, might well be forced to have fish for dinner.
