Laser Acne Scar Treatment
Before getting rid of acne scars, any active acne must be treated. One of the best methods of scar removal is with the use of lasers. Advancing from the CO2 laser which destroyed the surface of the skin to the non-ablasive laser which does not remove skin and allows for rapid healing, this method is best for light scarring without any tissue loss.
Laser treatments can be expensive and require several treatments to achieve the required result. There are also several types of lasers used for scar removal giving you more options based on cost, length of treatment, discomfort and recovery time. Two types are the pulsed-dye laser and the fractionated laser. The most common side effect is redness and swelling for 2 to 3 days after the treatment.
