Fast Growing Shade Trees Grow Up Faster
Since deciduous trees lose their leaves in the winter, the do not hinder any efforts you may be using to take advantage of passive or even active solar heating for the winter. When the heat from the sun is needed, the leaves are gone, but when the heat of summer is on the leaves offer protection needed for the keeping your home cool during the summer.
Although these trees can give you the shade you need in a very short time, they do have a drawback. Fast growing shade trees are very susceptible to disease and may only live for ten to fifteen years. In order to overcome this disadvantage, homeowners should also plant some slower growing trees at the same time. These slower growing trees may live over one hundred years.
